Researchers are trying to explore Mini-Moons as they find out that moons may have their own moons as well, Kepler-1625b-i is one of the gigantic alien moon. Newly found by researchers and there is a possibility that it may have sub moons that had a habitable surface once, Kepler-1625b-i locates from earth almost 8,000 light years. Astronomers and researchers make sure that 3,800 exoplanets and planets exits that orbit other stars and it took them a period of about past two decades.
Scientists have already discovered Kepler-1625b-i as an exoplanet’s moon added that it has a mass same to that of Neptune which is 17 times of Earth’s mass, considered as the largest moon of our solar system. Another interesting as well as shocking information added in the recent studies is that moons can have their own “sub moons” or may called “moon-moons” because of their huge masses.
In general, our researchers have find out the diameter of the submoons that is 6 miles also that because of the planet’s gravitational pulls which results in a tidal force that send the sub moon to crash into another planet or sometimes other moon. Scientist found out that the submoons can orbit around the large moons that should be wide about 600 miles, so if Kepler-1625b-i exists then it would be large enough to have a sub moon. This is because studies shows that submoon don’t last longer around the small moons or moons that have short distance with their hosting planet.
A researcher named Raymond said that if the submoons have their own “subsubmoons” which means a sub moon hosting another moon then the subsubmoon should be really small in size otherwise it wouldn’t exist.
Star that hosts the Kepler-1625b-i is at a distance same as the distance between Earth and Sun that’s why there is a chance of habitable zone at some point or in a certain condition. Researchers are always in search of habitable zones because in that zone there is a chance of alien life to exist. We already know that water is essential for life but the Kepler-1625b-i is a gas giant. Studies show that Kepler-1625b-i doesn’t have habitable atmosphere but it may have when the hosting star was younger.
